Key Statistics:

From January through June 2008:

• 2.1 million electronic prescriptions were sent by eRx Collaborative prescribers
• Nearly 50,000 prescriptions were changed as a result of drug-drug or drug-allergy ePrescribing alerts, approximately 8300 per month

• America’s Health Insurance Plans awarded BCBSMA AHIP’s 2006 Innovation and Excellence Award for Health Information Technology; the success of the eRx Collaborative was a critical component in this recognition.
• “SafeRx” Award Recipient (May 2006, February 2007, March 2008) Award acknowledges how ePrescribing enhances patient safety by providing a more secure and accurate prescribing process. The National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS), the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) and SureScripts sponsor the award.
